Administrative Burdens Reduction Project

The optical bodies have responded to a Cabinet Office initiative on cutting the burden of administrative costs borne by private businesses in complying with legislation. You can read the letter outlining the project here.

The Administrative Burdens Reduction Project was launched in September and has recently been taken forward for healthcare providers by the Department of Health.

The sector received an invitation to take part in the survey and will be putting forward a number of members to be interviewed and advise officials of areas where procedures could be streamlined to cut costs and, more importantly, improve levels of patient care.
