GOC (General Optical Council)

The GOC is the Health and Social Care regulator for the Optical Industry. It sets standards for optical education and training, performance and conduct, approves qualifications leading to registration, maintains a register of individuals who are qualified and fit to practise, train or carry on business as optometrists and dispensing opticians and investigates registrants’ fitness to practise.
