Fitness to Practise
Fitness to practise refers to the fitness to practise of qualified optometrists or dispensing opticians, student optometrists, dispensing opticians undertaking training and business registrants (optical businesses registered with the GOC). New Fitness to Practise Rules designed to further protect the public and reduce the stress of long investigations, came into force in 2014.
