NHS Branding – England

GOS Contractors

Optical practices that provide GOS may use, and are encouraged to use, the NHS logo, providing it meets the requirements laid out in the NHS identity guidance below. The logo can only be used on information that relates solely to NHS services and must comply with specified layout and colour schemes.

NHS Standard Contract holders

NHS community services provided under the NHS Standard Contract must be branded as NHS services regardless of who the provider is, as specified in the General Conditions (23.1) of the NHS Standard Contract. The NHS service logo should be used by NHS Standard Contract holders.  Further information is available via the link below.

NHS Branding – Scotland

Scotland has been allowed to use the NHS Scotland logo for some time but each health board has implemented its use differently.  Practices should contact their health board liaison for the logo in the first instance.  Any issues surrounding logo use should be directed to Optometry Scotland.

Health and Social Care Branding – Northern Ireland

In Northern Ireland the Health and Social Care Logo (HSC) is used.  This logo is available to Northern Ireland practices who perform GOS services.
