Northern Ireland - Covid-19 financial support to continue in first quarter
The Minister of Health has confirmed that Covid-19 financial support for ophthalmic contractors will continue through April, May and June of 2021/22.
In a letter to GOS contractors on 22 March, Caroline Hickey from General Dental, Ophthalmic Services & Criminal Justice Healthcare, said the scheme remains under review. Any further changes would be made in consultation with Optometry Northern Ireland.
She said: “This has been a very difficult year for frontline workers in the health and social care sector and your support and commitment over the last 12 months has been greatly appreciated.”
